The mission of the Transport Accident and Incident Investigation Bureau is to make railway, aviation, and maritime transport safer by conducting independent accident investigations and advocating for safety improvements.

The vision of the Bureau is to be a professional and progressive transport safety investigation authority that is an active and equal member of global and European aviation, railway, and maritime safety investigation organizations.

The Bureau’s work is guided by three core values. The first one of them is professionalism – achieving the Bureau’s objectives by applying the knowledge and skills of its employees. The second one is working for the public good – promoting public trust in railway, air, and maritime transport by focusing on transport safety and preventing future accidents, and the last but not least one is - responsibility – ensuring efficient, effective, and purposeful work that serves the interests of the public.

The high quality of the Bureau’s work is driven by its team of experienced and professional staff, as well as close cooperation with railway, maritime, and aviation accident investigation bureaus of other countries, related agencies, and international organizations.
