Transport accident and incident investigation bureau is an institution of direct administration under supervision of the Minister for Transport.
The functions of the Bureau are as follows:
- to investigate civil aviation accidents and incidents and to analyse the causes thereof;
- to investigate railway accidents and to analyse the causes thereof;
- to investigate marine casualties and incidents and to analyse their causes.
